Workshop with MOFCOM on the draft Commodity Circulation Law

On 22 October 2015, the Sino-German Workshop on the draft Commodity Circulation Law (Domestic Trade Law) was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in Beijing.

On 22 October 2015, the Sino-German Workshop on the draft Commodity Circulation Law (Domestic Trade Law) was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in Beijing.

 

The workshop was framed by several expert presentations which respectively focused on the legislation development of the new law, relevant legislation in Germany and the European Union, as well as the impact of the new law.

 

Representatives from NPC, State Council, MOFCOM, BMWi, GTAI, AHK, GIZ as well as German industries met to share the legislation development of the new law, and relevant legislations in Germany and European Union.

 

As part of the implementation of the Joint Declaration regarding the cooperation in the regulatory framework for market surveillance, which has been signed by BMWi and MOFCOM in October 2014, this workshop was the very first time MOFCOM held a discussion with foreign partners regarding the Draft Commodity Circulation Law, which is covering many aspects of market supervision, trade facilitation and regulation, and will be used to regulate the overall business operations in the Chinese market.
