GPQI: collaborating internationally for quality and safety
In global value chains, products might cross borders several times. A car designed digitally in one country, for example, may be produced in a second before being sold and driven in a third. Quality infrastructure must therefore be harmonised internationally in order to effectively ensure product quality in international trade and support innovation worldwide.
For this reason, GPQI has international representation. Associates in Brazil, China, Mexico, India, Indonesia and Germany work closely with local partners and stakeholders. They work collectively to reduce technical barriers to trade, strengthen product safety and improve consumer protection.
