Seminar on “Certification of Energy Management Systems”

On Tuesday, 24 June, 2014, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) jointly organized a seminar on the certification of energy management systems following the fourth annual meeting of the Working Group Product Safety in Berlin.

On Tuesday, 24 June, 2014, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) jointly organized a seminar on the certification of energy management systems following the fourth annual meeting of the Working Group Product Safety in Berlin.

 

Apart from the BMWi and the CNCA, other participants included the German Accreditation Agency (DAkks), the German Energy Agency (dena), the DIN German Institute for Standardization, as well as representatives from certification and testing institutes as well as industry from both Germany and China.

 

In the seminar, the differences in regulations of certification for energy management systems were presented and design, certification and supervision of energy management systems were discussed.

 

At the end of the seminar, both BMWi and CNCA emphasized their commitment to further deepen cooperation on this topic.
