Planning workshop on toy projects of Sino-German working group on product safety

On 21 February 2014 representatives of the German Association of the Toy Industry (DVSI), German toy companies as well as testing and certification institutions met in Hamburg at invitation of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and GIZ for a planning workshop to investigate two thematic priorities of the Quality Infrastructure Project involving the toy industry.
The workshop was opened by Mr. Joachim Geiß (Deputy Head of Division, BMWi) and served as a significant step in the substantive harmonization of key aspects for a coherent and detailed work plan in two focus areas of the project.
The meeting participants were showing great interest and commitment.
