Technical Workshop on Standards Developing Organisations (SDOs) in India (13:00 – 17:00)
The more than 50 standards developing organisations (SDOs) are to play a stronger role in Indian standardisation in the future. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is therefore developing a recognition system for these SDOs. At the technical workshop, the standards organisations DIN, DKE and BIS will exchange views with potential Indian SDOs on aspects such as compliance with the World Trade Organization (WTO) Code of Standards (e.g. coherence of the body of standards and consensus-building procedures).
Please find the draft agenda for this workshop for download below.
Registration: Representatives of the private sector who are interested in this topic can attend this exchange between standardisation organisations. However, please consider that in this context no discussion of specific standardisation issues of the industry is planned. If you would like to participate in this workshop, please send an e-mail to qi-india@giz.de.
