6th Annual Meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Product Safety

On 24 May 2016, the 6th Annual Meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Product Safety is going to take place in Berlin. The meeting will be chaired by Mr. Stefan Schnorr, Director General of the Digital and Innovation Policy Department of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), and by Mr. Liu Shiyuan, Deputy Director General of the Inspection and Supervision Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ).
The meeting will be conducted in two specialised sessions, “market surveillance and product safety” and “conformity assessment and accreditation”. Besides relevant authorities of both countries, representatives of associations and enterprises will attend the annual meeting. Additionally, technical workshops in the area of the Working Group on Product Safety will be held prior to the Meeting on 23 May 2016. BMWi will send out separate invitations for the technical workshops.
